Claude Chevaleyre

Docteur en histoire et civilisations (EHESS, 2015), Claude Chevaleyre a été Ater au Collège de France, chercheur postdoctorant à l’EFEO et à l’International Institute of Social History (Amsterdam), avec d’entrer à l’IAO comme charge de recherches (CNRS, 2018). Depuis lors, il se consacre à l’histoire du travail contraint, de la servitude et de la traite d’êtres humains en Chine impériale tardive. Il se consacre également au développement de l’histoire de l’esclavage en Asie prémoderne au travers de divers projets réseaux, dont le Bonn Centre of Dependency and Slavery Studies (Allemagne) où il anime le Junior Research Group « Dependency in Asian History ».
